Irish Draught Horse Society New Zealand was established in 1988 to support, promote and further the Irish Draught breed in New Zealand.

The objectives of the Society include establishing, preserving and improving the Irish Draught Horse in New Zealand, promoting and maintaining high standards of breeding, conformation, quality and soundness, and maintaining records relating to the breed.
